it’s crazy the amount of disparity out there in terms of quality of cbd oil. you could get 30 different cbd oil brands easily and 30 different qualities, depending solely on the cannabis that was used for extraction, type of extraction used, etc. Guess it’s no different than any other food really, all wine is made from grapes (is it?), doesn’t mean that quality of all wine is the same
Transparency: Fab’s website features third-party lab results for most products. They only have a lab test for one of their tinctures though (which shows results for cannabinoid potency, as well as contaminants like pesticides). Customer service pointed out that the same CBD oil is used for all their products, but since potencies do vary, we appreciate companies that show potency testing for all products.

Hemp goes back as one of the oldest crops in human history. Why is it so popular? For starters, it requires half the water (even less for some crops!)  of wheat and can be grown without pesticides. For health enthusiasts or anyone generally considerate of the environment, this is a great news. This crop can then be used for nutrition as a great fiber source! The whole seeds are healthy for complete proteins and omegas, concentrated antioxidants, vitamins, and other healthy nutrients. Outside of the United States, hemp is grown as an industrial crop on a large scale. In Europe, for example, we reviewed over 3,000 cultivars before selecting the right farm for us.
The popularization of cannabis in Canada boomed in the 1960’s, due in part to the “hippie ethos” which spread northward from the United States. Cannabis was being discussed in underground newspapers and on underground radio stations across the country. College students were rejecting traditional values and began to question law makers and authority figures.

While only 9 states currently have legalized recreational marijuana, as an industry weed has had a huge year of growth. This is in large part due to the increasing popularity of products that contain CBD in them. CBD, short for cannabidiol, is one of the hundreds of compounds found in the cannabis plant, and the potential it has shown in helping with pain, seizures and anxiety have made it a natural fit for medical and recreational weed alike.
When you hear the term CBD Oil or CBD, it means Cannabidiol.  Cannabidiol is one of the active ingredients found in the cannabis (marijuana) plant.  But CBD comes from industrial hemp as well – a cousin to the marijuana plant.  Tetrahydrocannabidoil (THC) is the psychoactive element of marijuana that gives the ‘high’.  CBD, because it is from industrial hemp, has very low levels of THC – it won’t make you ‘high’.  Industrial hemp is a fibrous plant – they make rope out of it.  THC is formed in the buds of the marijuana plant – but industrial hemp is cultivated without allowing the plant to bud.  That’s why it has less than 10 percent of the THC as marijuana, and The World Health Organization has stated that no indications of abuse or dependency issues have been found in humans.

The human body also produces cannabinoids, known as endocannabinoids, in a bodily system known as the endocannabinoid system (or ECS). The ECS promotes homeostasis by regulating a wide range of functions, including motor skills, mood, appetite, and sleep. As we age, our ECS produces fewer endocannabinoids; they may also decrease due to physical injury or disease. Replenishing depleted endocannabinoids with phytocannabinoids like CBD can help restore balance to the body.
The so-called CBD abbreviation means Cannabidiol, which essentially is a male cannabis plant and people often ask something in the lines of “can you vape CBD oil and get high?”. The answer is clear, no, you can’t and never will. Cannabis oil for vape is completely safe to consume and trust us, lines such as “CBD vape oil get you high” are just rumors.

Best CBD on Amazon. Currently, Amazon states they do not allow the sale of CBD products on their platform, as it is listed as a prohibited product. However, there are plenty hemp derived CBD oils on Amazon to choose from, many show casing their ability to relieve symptoms of pain, anxiety, sleep and depression. Great article! Excellent point by Matt, precisely why I found this article. I would just add that the CBD percentage in the extract can be significantly lower than even the 20%, but its probably fair to use that to give a rough idea how much CBD might be in an Amazon product, so divide the claimed percentage by 5!. Claims of up to 60% on Amazon are totally ludicrous, any concentration above 20% CBD become darker very viscous and the CBD starts to crystalize in the bottle! You would need to heat the bottle (which can damage the properties of the carrier oil) to re-liquidize! Also beware of Amazon reviews which are notorious for being fake. As author suggests, contact seller for full data sheets or seek a reputable supplier elsewhere that gives full transparency of information up front.
Most products labeled "hemp oil" do not contain any CBD. Those are typically hemp seed oil which is more commonly used for cooking or to make salad dressing. If you want to buy CBD oil, you'll want to look for products that are labeled "CBD oil" or "hemp extract." To confirm that a product you're interested in has CBD in it, you'll want to look at their third-party lab reports. All reputable companies selling CBD oil products will make third-party lab reports available to you to confirm the presence of CBD.
